About Peelclear

5 questions
Peelclear is a patent-pending waterborne peelable paint coating designed specifically for automotive applications. It sprays on like paint, looks and feels like paint, and provides genuine protection against rock chips, scratches, UV damage, and environmental contaminants. When you are ready for a change or want to reveal the original paint underneath, Peelclear peels off cleanly without damaging the factory finish.
Peelclear is engineered at the molecular level to deliver a finish that is indistinguishable from factory paint. Unlike Plasti Dip and other consumer-grade peelable products, Peelclear is a professional-grade waterborne coating applied in a spray booth by certified technicians. It offers superior durability, UV resistance, gloss retention, and a finish quality that Plasti Dip simply cannot match. Peelclear is backed by a 20-year warranty β€” a level of confidence no other peelable product can claim.
Peelclear is designed to last for years of normal driving. The coating is backed by a 20-year warranty covering yellowing, peeling, cracking, fading, and adhesion failure. The actual lifespan depends on driving conditions, climate, and maintenance, but Peelclear is engineered for long-term durability.
Yes. Peelclear is available in clear (transparent protection), a wide range of solid colors, metallics, pearls, matte finishes, and satin finishes. Custom color matching is also available through our certified installers. Whether you want invisible protection or a complete color transformation, Peelclear can deliver it.
Peelclear is safe for all factory OEM paint finishes, including clearcoat, basecoat/clearcoat, single-stage, matte, and satin finishes. It is a waterborne product that does not contain aggressive solvents that could damage factory paint. Our certified installers assess each vehicle before application to ensure compatibility.

Application Process

4 questions
Peelclear is sprayed onto the vehicle's surface using standard HVLP spray equipment in a professional spray booth, just like automotive paint. The process involves thorough surface preparation, masking, multiple spray coats with appropriate flash times between coats, and a final cure period. The entire process is handled by a certified Peelclear installer.
Yes. Peelclear must be applied in a professional spray booth to ensure a contamination-free environment and a flawless finish. This is one of the reasons the finish quality is so superior to DIY peelable products β€” the controlled environment eliminates dust, debris, and inconsistencies.
A full-body Peelclear application typically takes about one day β€” approximately 4 hours of active spray time plus prep, masking, and cure time. This is significantly faster than PPF (3-5 days) or a full vinyl wrap (2-3 days). Most customers can drop off their vehicle in the morning and pick it up the same day or the following day.
Peelclear is a professional-grade product designed for application by certified installers in a spray booth environment. It is not a DIY product. Professional application ensures proper surface preparation, correct spray technique, appropriate coat thickness, and a flawless finish β€” all of which are required for the 20-year warranty to be valid.

Protection & Durability

3 questions
Yes. Peelclear creates a durable protective layer that absorbs the impact of road debris and rock chips, shielding your factory paint from damage. The coating takes the hit so your paint does not. When the Peelclear coating shows wear, it can be renewed β€” peeled off and reapplied β€” to restore full protection.
Yes. Peelclear contains UV stabilizers that protect both the coating itself and the factory paint underneath from UV degradation, fading, and oxidation. This is particularly valuable in high-UV environments like the southern United States, Australia, and equatorial regions.
Peelclear provides resistance against light scratches, swirl marks, and surface abrasion that would otherwise affect your factory paint. While no coating is scratch-proof, Peelclear absorbs minor surface damage so your original paint remains untouched. If the coating sustains visible scratches over time, it can be peeled and reapplied.

Removal

3 questions
Peelclear is designed to peel off by hand. When you are ready to remove it, the coating is scored at an edge and peeled away in large sheets, revealing the pristine factory paint underneath. The process is straightforward and does not require chemicals, heat guns, or abrasive tools. Your certified installer can handle the removal, or it can be done at any professional shop.
No. Peelclear is specifically engineered to bond to the surface during use but release cleanly when peeled. The factory paint underneath is not affected by the application or removal process. This is one of Peelclear's core advantages β€” it protects your paint and preserves it in the exact condition it was in at the time of application.
Removal costs vary by installer, but the process is straightforward and typically much less expensive than removing PPF or vinyl wrap. Many installers offer discounted or complimentary removal when the customer is having a fresh Peelclear application applied. Contact your local certified installer for specific pricing.

Warranty

3 questions
The Peelclear 20-year warranty covers manufacturing defects including yellowing, premature peeling, cracking, fading, and adhesion failure under normal use conditions. The warranty is provided when the product is applied by a certified Peelclear installer and registered through our warranty system. See our warranty page for complete details.
The warranty may be voided by: application by a non-certified installer, improper surface preparation, physical abuse or intentional damage, use of harsh chemicals or abrasive compounds on the coating, or modifications made to the coating after application. Normal wear and tear from driving conditions is not grounds for voiding the warranty.
Yes. When your Peelclear application is registered by a certified installer through our warranty system, it is reported to CARFAX and appears on the vehicle's history report. This adds documented value to the vehicle and signals to future buyers that the factory paint has been professionally protected.

For Vehicle Owners

4 questions
Peelclear is an excellent option for leased vehicles. The coating protects the vehicle's paint throughout the lease term, preventing the rock chips, scratches, and UV damage that can lead to costly excess wear charges at lease return. When the lease ends, Peelclear peels off cleanly, leaving the factory paint in pristine condition. It is one of the smartest investments a lease driver can make.
Peelclear positively affects resale value in two ways. First, it preserves the factory paint in original condition, which is a significant factor in vehicle valuation. Second, the CARFAX-registered warranty provides documented proof that the paint has been professionally protected β€” a selling point that resonates with quality-conscious buyers.
Maintaining a Peelclear-coated vehicle is simple. Wash the vehicle as you normally would β€” hand wash, touchless automatic wash, or pressure wash are all fine. Avoid abrasive compounds, harsh chemical cleaners, and abrasive wash mitts. Peelclear's smooth surface actually makes the vehicle easier to clean, as dirt and contaminants have less surface to cling to.
Pricing varies based on vehicle size, coverage area, and finish type (clear, color change, matte, etc.). A full-body clear protection application typically ranges from $3,000 to $7,000. Color change and specialty finishes may be priced differently. Contact your local certified installer for a personalized quote for your specific vehicle.

Compared to Other Products

6 questions
Peelclear is applied in liquid form. Instead of blades and pre-cut sheets, installers spray Peelclear onto the car for seamless coverage β€” no film, no edges, no cutting. It also peels off cleanly years later, while PPF typically requires heat guns, chemical removers, and can leave adhesive residue.
We do not recommend applying Peelclear over existing PPF. Peelclear bonds best to properly prepared factory paint or OEM-grade finishes. If your vehicle currently has PPF, your certified installer will evaluate whether it should be removed before application.
Peelclear's multi-layer film absorbs impact and distributes force across the surface, protecting the factory paint underneath. For chip protection on a full-body application, Peelclear performs comparably to PPF in real-world conditions, with the added benefit of removable, reparable coverage and a lower price point.
Minor imperfections have self-healing properties similar to standard PPF. Deeper scratches can be sanded and polished like conventional automotive paint β€” or the damaged panel can be spot-resprayed at a fraction of the cost of replacing a PPF panel.
Vinyl wraps are designed for color changes, not paint protection. Peelclear gives you both β€” paint protection and customization in the same spray-applied coating β€” with unlimited colors, a seamless finish (no visible edges or seams), and a 20-year warranty. Vinyl typically runs 5–7 years before the edges lift or the film yellows.
Peelclear is the only patent-pending waterborne sprayable coating that is fully peelable. Easier to install, cleaner finish, and no VOC regulations β€” which means it can be shipped and sold worldwide without the solvent-based restrictions that limit competing products.
